Decree on Tariffs
#1
All products that are imported into the DPRoK will be subjected to a tariff.

Raw materials; which shall include but is not limited to ores, lumber, raw food items, livestock, or other naturally occurring unprocessed materials; will be subjected to a tariff of 0.50 rubles per kilogram of material imported.

Non-raw food items; which shall include but is not limited to cheeses, meats, and other packaged food items; will be subjected to a tariff of 0.25 rubles per kilogram of material imported.

All manufactured goods other than medications, alcohol, and tobacco will be subjected to a tariff of 2 rubles per kilogram of items imported.

Alcohol will be subjected to a tariff of 0.50 ruble per liter of alcohol imported.

Tobacco will be subjected to a tariff of 1 ruble per twenty cigarettes, two cigars, or twenty grams of non-wrapped tobacco.

Medications will not be subjected to tariffs so long as a written and signed prescription by a licensed physician is provided along with the prescription. Prescriptions that are not accompanied by a written and signed prescription by a licensed physician will be immediately be seized and not allowed inside the borders of the DPRoK.

These tariffs are to be paid by the party that is physically transporting the items in question into the DPRoK.

Customs officials will be permitted to weigh all items of each category in a particular shipment together even if the items are to be eventually sent to different recipients. Customs officials may also be permitted to lump multiple shipments together to be weighed so long as they are being transported by the same company or carrier and the act of lumping the items together does not, in itself, slow down the speed of delivery of the items in question.

Weight measurements for tariffs and the accompaning tariff amount may not be appealed and all tariff amounts are to be considered final.

Nations that are signatories of the Standardized Currency and Unified Economy Treaty will not be subjected to the aforementioned tariffs.
